All right, we know you can introduce yourself and make a good impression. In Portuguese 2, we’ll teach you how to take the conversation further. This class is for you if you're familiar with the basics and can say simple sentences in the present tense.
Each class meets at the same time for 10 weeks - creating consistency in your language learning.

Speaking is at the heart of all of our classes, and in an immersive setting, you’ll get even more opportunity to practice critical speaking and listening skills.
Step 1
Reflexive verbs. Direct and indirect object pronouns. Imperative and preterite tense.
Step 2
Ask someone out on a date. Order drinks at a bar and chat up the bartender. Explain common ailments to a doctor. Talk about how you spent your last holiday. Describe your daily routine.
Step 3
Start here if you've already completed Portuguese 1 with us, or if you've studied Portuguese before and can confidently conjugate verbs in the present tense while speaking.
Step 4
From day one, you'll be engaging in conversation with your instructor and your classmates. This will prepare you to feel confident and comfortable when speaking with natives.

Most students do miss a class, or two, and we’re here to help ensure that you won’t fall behind despite any missed classes. We’ve set up our curriculum to make lessons easy to follow along outside of class, and your teacher will reach out to your group each week with a summary of materials, topics, and homework covered in-class.
We know our students and teachers probably have holiday plans, so we don't hold classes on Federal holidays.
All of our group classes meet for a total of 20 hours of live instruction. Some courses meet 2 hours once a week for a total of 10 sessions, while others meet 1 hour twice a week for a total of 20 sessions.
Only students 18 years or older can participate in this course. If you are looking for options for students under 18, please check out our Kids and Teens page!
As long as the group course has not been cancelled or it has spots left, there is no deadline to sign up. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up at least two weeks in advance in order to secure your spot!
Plans change—we get it. You have until 7 days before the start date of your Group Course to make any cancelations or same-level transfers. After that, there are no refunds under any circumstance. During the first 2 weeks of class, however, if you feel your level isn't the right fit, reach out to help@cricketmedia.com, and we will transfer you to a better fit, free of charge!
